Just a Fun Weekend!!

This weekend was just fun times spent with friends. Friday night we went to Lauren and Alston's Engagement party at a beautiful house. I did not get a picture with the bride, but here are two pictures with some of my dental school friends!

Saturday Night we went to a Kentucky Derby Party at the Hewitts house! Thomas Hewitt is in law school with Bo and usually goes to the Kentucky Derby every year, but this was the weekend between the law school finals, so they decided to have a party. All women wore big hats, they had bets being placed for all the horses and had mint juleps with crushed ice just like the Derby. It was very fun to see all the different hats.

My new little friend!!!!

I FINALLY got to meet my sweet precious new little friend, Baby Nora, that I have loved since the day her momma, my best friend, told me that she was going to have a little baby!

I told McLeod that I can not believe that we have known each other for 8 years now. We met during pledge day for Delta Gamma and have been friends ever since. We both dated the same guy through highschool and college so we went through boy drama, engagements together, weddings the same summer, and now she is a mother- WOW!

I am so glad that now the Satterfields have moved back to good ole Mississippi. They lived in Texas for the past couple of years and although they lived in a really cool town that was fun to visit- I much rather be a drive away from our dear friends and this sweet little baby girl!!!!

Dear Nora,

This is your Aunt Lane. I love you so much and can not wait to watch you grow up! I have already planned many many girls trips in my head with you, me and your mom! We will have so much fun! I will always be here for you! I know you will be such a wonderful, beautiful, smart little girl that loves the Lord because of the parents that are going to raise you! And don't forget, you will be a DG at MS State one day so that me and your mom can relive our college days through you- haha! Love you and can not wait to see you soon!

Renovations

Even though it comes with some trouble, I love living in an older home in an older neighborhood and continually updating and improving our house! I am so thankful that I have a father in law that is so gifted with just about everything, but especially anything to do with woodwork, gardens, and cooking! Bo needs to be learning- haha!! Mr. Jimmy has done so much to our house and it looks sooo good. Our recent living room renovation started with a new couch from my mom and adam for christmas, a new rug, recovered ottoman and chair, and now our new built in bookshelf, entertainment center, etc.

Mr. Jimmy brought the built in that he and bo designed in pieces already painted and with a little unexpected work put it in and it looks great! I love it!!Me, Mrs.Becky, and Bo's grandmother, Grandy, pretty much just sat outside, enjoyed the weather, and talked while the boys worked inside- so fun!!

This is a wine bottle candelabra that I got for christmans and love- you just put it is any empty wine bottle.

Last Spring Break Ever!!!!

Bo said if I say "This is my last spring break ever" one more time he is going to scream because I have had a spring break for so long, but......... this is my last spring break ever!!!! Bo and I were soo blessed to be able to spend the entire week at the beach with the absolute best weather ever for spring break- not one day of rain and warm and sunny!!!

We headed to Seaside, FL to spend time with my mom and her sister and family who live there. We had the best time ever! I was sad to miss my brothers ( who were hiking like 20 miles with friends in virginia) and Adam. They came the day we left to go to Orange Beach with our beach buds, Kerri and Jonathan, who continue to allow us to stay at their beautiful beach house and make so many memories!! Also, my camera broke while in seaside so had to get one on the way to orange beach- I have to have a camera!!!!!This will be the second birthday for Bo and Jonathan that we have been on the beach! Jonathan's birthday is March 15th and Bo's is March 16th!!!

For our husband's birthdays we got tickets to the Zac Brown Band and it was awesome!!! It was the best venue ever!! They are soooooooooooooooooo good in concert! I absolutely love their music!!! And Yes, Kerri and I seriously bought the exact same dresses for the concert- she showed me her dress when we got to the beach and I was like NO WAY- we even got them in two different stores- and Yes I got my hair colored- but it washes out in 36 watches completely back to normal- just needed a little change!

Now these were fun on the ocean- riding to go get snacks and frozen drinks is AMAZING!!!!!
