Work Hard and try to play Hard

I have been meaning to blog for awhile now. I look at other peoples blogs during my rare down time at work, but have been honestly too tired at night to even upload my pictures or use brain power to write just a few words.
I have officially been working for 7 weeks now and so am still getting adjusted. It is sooo much better than school but it's just a whole new tired!
After about the first week of work, all the dental school girls still living in this area all went out to eat- so fun to all talk about the "working" world.This summer has gone by fast and I feel like I have taken NO pictures. Bo clerked at a law firm in downtown jackson for the last six weeks of summer and so they have been entertaining us more than once a week and on the weekends with really fun events. Sad thing is that I usually get home at 6 and have 30 minutes to spruce of my ponytail and put on a dress and go, but it has been fun! I am so proud of Bo and how hard he has worked in school, but now I am ready for him to be done- haha- two more years!A weekend and lake getaway was planned in Birminham. It was great- got to even hang out with one of my favorite friends Sara Beth Parks Cobb while there admist her neverending busy life- that girl never slows down for those that know her-haha! We stayed one night at Lake Martin and had a great day on the lake!The very next weekend I went for a quick annual college girls beach trip to Gulf Shores. Even though I was only there really one full day it was so worth it! We went to see the 10:30 showing of The Help on friday night when I arrived- sooo good. The next day was all beach and a good dinner at Lulu's and then sunday was a fun road trip with my friend Jenny- that girl has known me for a long time- probably knows TOO much about me- haha!Another fun outing with dental school girls, or doctas, at Fusion-thai and sushi place- really good!-for Loan's birthday- she will be leaving soon to practice in Texas. So weird how I spend four years with the same 35 people and then we all just disperse. Bo' s parents also came down in the past month and once again Mr. Jimmy has worked his magic and talent and built us this new swing for our backyard- how beautiful is this! Can't wait to use it this fall when you can actually go outside!!

My break before entering "Reality"

When I say "reality" I mean the "Real World" which is what all my dental school friends would joke about meaning everyday work and grind, which I know I will soon learn is that not all that it is cut out to be, but it is time! I start work on July 5th! For those of ya'll that do not know, I will be doing public health dentistry at Family Health Care Clinic in Raleigh, MS. We will still be living in our house in Jackson and I will be commuting everyday about 50 miles. Bo still has two more years of law school and he only has about a 3 minute commute downtown for his school, so for those who know me well, please pray for me and this commute- I know people do it everyday but this is the one thing I'm most worried about. We still have the BIG decision on where to live after two years so my job is perfect because you sign a two year contract and get loan repayment and a great salary! I really am excited about my job and God using me in His ministry!
I have had an amazing few weeks off just to enjoy family and friends and resting- been so nice!I spent about a total of 2 1/2 weeks in Tupelo while Bo was there doing his clerkship, eating good, going to the pool, etc. My brothers are in Montana and Colorado so sadly did not get to see much of them. Bo and I went on a quick trip to Mobile, AL to use a free hotel room and to get out of town for a 4 year anniversary!Sushi Night with Virginia and Heidi- we have been going around and eating all the sushi restaurants in Jackson- this is at the new one in Fondren- Fatsuymo's- very good!We went on our 2nd Annual trip to Hot Spring, AR with Anthony and Julia and Emily and Art, we missed the others that could not make it! Hot Springs is such a neat place- the downtown is so interesting with the Bath Houses where people used to come and bathe in the hot springs for their supposed healing powers. The Bath Houses are absolutely beautiful- I toured one and would love to get a treatment at a newly renovated one next time. The lake house is so great and we always have so much time making dips, floating in the water, boat riding, and eating great dinners. Thanks so much to our friend for inviting us!Emily and baby avery on the way!!!! Last time we were here julia was 14 weeks pregnant and now he is 6 months old- crazy how time flies!Our favorite place to eat in downtown Hot Springs is Rolando's. It is latin food and sooooooo good. They have an awesome porch that we ate on last year but it was packed out, but still oh soo good!I take a picture every year of our food because it is so beautiful and colorful!We always take boat rides around the lake and just are amazed at the homes we see! Even though these are amazing- Anthony and Julia's lake house is beyond perfect! This lake even made southern living this month!Just being silly!

Four very loooooong years, but I made it!!!

I still remember the summer before dental school, I graduated from MS State and got married and would always say with a bubbly voice, "I'm going to Dental School." to everyone who asked. Little did I know that it would be the most challenging, stressful, yet rewarding accomplishment I have ever done! There is no way I could have made it with the constant support and love from my family, friends, Bo, or my bassett hounds! I can't express how glad that I "survived" the past four years, but in reality I am very excited about my future career and pray that God will continue to show me the ministry that I am meant to have.
I am so blessed that 25 members, yes 25, came from many states to support me and watch me graduate! Here are pictures of most of them! Friday night I entertained 20 of them on my back porch for the perfect ending to one of the best days ever! Thank you all for everything!

One year down and 2 years or 2 weeks to go!

Bo has finished his first year of law school! This year has been one to remember as Bo went through his first year and I through my last year, but it is coming to an end! Bo has another 2 years and I have another 2 weeks! Bo is headed to Tupelo today to do a 6 week clerkship at Mitchell McNutt law firm and then he will do another 6 week clerkship in Jackson at Balch and Bingham law firm- we are very thankful for his opportunities! I have not seen him much in the past two weeks because he was in the library, so as soon as he finished his last exam we all met up and celebrated. Did not get a picture of all the boys but I did of my favorite law school wives- Virginia and Haley!!

My mom and Drew came down on friday for my senior banquet. I am so thankful for all the support my family and friends have given me. I graduate on May 27th!!!!
